When you don’t want to sacrifice beauty for the sake of safety and security, our residential fences meet all three requirements and add to the value of your property. From ornamental iron fences to wood privacy fences, we provide a variety of fencing styles that can complement your landscaping or the architecture of your property. We’ve worked with homeowners for over a decade to find a fencing solution that meets their maintenance needs, aesthetics, and budget.

How it works

From first call to finished job

  1. Step 1

    Tell us about your project

Fence type, rough length and height, the gates you need and your address. A photo or a quick sketch of the yard helps.

  2. Step 2

    Measure and plan

The fence line is measured and walked with you: corners, gates, slopes, trees and anything in the way, plus property lines and city or HOA rules.

  3. Step 3

    A clear quote

You get a quote that spells out the materials, height, length, gates and how the posts will be set, so it's easy to compare.

  4. Step 4

    Installation

Underground lines are marked through 811 before digging, then posts are set and panels, rails and gates go up. The site is cleaned up when the work is done.

FAQ

Residential Privacy Fences: common questions

Which fence material should I choose?

Wood gives a classic look and full privacy but needs staining or sealing every few years. Vinyl costs more up front and needs little more than washing. Chain link is practical and economical for large areas and pets. Aluminum works well around pools and front yards where you want to keep the view. Your goal, budget and how much upkeep you want usually decide it.

Do I need a permit for a fence?

Many cities require one, especially for taller fences, corner lots and pool barriers, and most HOAs have their own approval process and style rules. Height limits are common too, with front-yard fences usually kept lower than back-yard fences. Check with your city and HOA before the project starts.

Where does the fence go relative to my property line?

Fences usually go just inside the property line to avoid disputes. If you're not sure where the line is, your plat map or a survey shows it. If you and a neighbor want a shared fence right on the line, put the agreement in writing.

How long does fence installation take?

Most residential fences go up in one to three days once work starts. Posts set in concrete need time to cure before heavy gates are hung, and rocky ground, slopes or long runs can add time.

What about underground utilities?

Before any digging, public utility lines are marked through 811, the national call-before-you-dig number. Private lines that 811 doesn't mark, like sprinkler pipes, buried pet fences or power to a shed, should be pointed out before posts are dug.
